The people behind the mission
Martial Arts For All Foundation was built by people who believe every kid should have a shot at the discipline and confidence martial arts teaches — regardless of what they can afford.
Guiding the Foundation forward
Meinte Huitema
Founder and Board MemberI've been training karate for several years. Martial arts has made me more disciplined, focused, and confident both on and off the mat. I founded this nonprofit because I believe every child should have that same chance I had to build confidence, develop life skills, and feel supported, regardless of their family's income.
Nathalie Huitema
Board MemberI joined the board because martial arts has shaped my own life and my kids' lives. I've seen firsthand how training builds confidence, discipline, and a sense of belonging. When my youngest came up with the idea for Martial Arts for All, it immediately fit our family values of supporting others and giving back. I'm proud to help make this opportunity available to every child.
Eli Bigelow
Board MemberI've trained and competed in martial arts for four years, and I joined the board to help underprivileged kids experience the same community, camaraderie, and culture I've found in the sport. Beyond being personally rewarding, I believe martial arts builds humility, discipline, and hard work; qualities I've seen make a real difference in young people's development. My hope is to share that culture with as many kids as possible.
Rikke Bitsch-Norhave
Board MemberI'm passionate about volunteering my time, energy, and experience to making ideas happen and bringing people together to create positive change, so joining the board of Martial Arts for All feels like a natural fit.
Everyone should have the chance to reach their potential, regardless of circumstances. Martial arts offer far more than just physical skills—students build confidence, discipline, resilience, focus, and respect that last a lifetime.
Being part of this organization that makes these opportunities accessible is especially meaningful to me.
